Plot Summary
Legends speak of a Dark Tower with a race of dragons that awaits the command to arise and wreak havoc. At least Kyle used to believe they were only legends until his lady, Alita, is stolen by the Black Dragon. Now Kyle must ally with Blau, a blue dragon, to rescue her before she becomes the catalyst for the Dark Tower's final program: the destruction of the world.
My Thoughts
Based on the incredibly popular Sega Saturn games, the Panzer Dragoon OVA condenses the core story into a 25-minute animated adventure. The story is simple and moves along quickly, as is expected for a short movie. The 3D animation makes me feel so nostalgic for late 90s 3D animation.
What the Panzer Dragoon OVA has to offer is eye candy, action, and fan service. So if you're a fan of the game, you'll love seeing the familiar characters and references to the game's stages. However, if you haven't played the game, this OVA will be just another average 90s anime.
