Plot Summary

Based on the first Wizardry game “The Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord”, a group of characters enter a dungeon to confront the ultimate wizard to prevent him from reaching an unstoppable power. On their way they meet up with a few new friends who have their own battles to settle, but their paths lay together.

My Thoughts

The Wizardry anime is extremely loyal to the Wizardry game. If any of you are a Wizardry fan then you're in for a real treat. As a classic RPG fan, I immensely enjoyed this anime. While watching it I felt like I was playing Wizardry! (Even though I've never played it.) It has RPG-esk random battles and magic casting. I really enjoyed it! However, the animation looks dated so I wouldn't quite recommend this anime to everyone. If you're a fan of classic RPGs and 80s anime, I think you'll love it!
