You will need a Super Nintendo emulator to play Front Mission and the translations offered on this page. To play the sequels and re-release, a PlayStation 1 emulator is needed. You can download these emulators from my emulators page. If you need assistance with any of the emulators offered on my site, check out my emulation help subsite: Video Game Emulation for Newbies.
Due to the Front Mission 3D Remake (released in 2022) and the revival of the Front Mission series, I'm prohibited from hosting any ROMs here for any Front Mission game. Rather, try the links below for collections at Internet Archive. Click here if you need directions with that. If Internet Archive doesn't work out for you, I have more options in my links.
This is the English translation that makes the Japan-only version of Front Mission (SNES) turn English. It was created by “F.H.” and “Akujin”. Their finished English translation was released in 2001. This translation was released as a patch. You must apply it to the original game. If you need help with patching, I have instructions in my patching guide.
This zip file has two patches: the English patch and the 'bug fix' patch. Both must be applied to the Japanese ROM. The bug fix prevents a crash that occurs during the battle at Freedom City.
This is the English translation that makes the Japan-only version of Front Mission 2 (PS1) turn English. It was created by “The Front Mission 5 Team”. Their finished English translation was released in 2013. This team requested that other websites do not host their English patch. Therefore, I need to direct you to RomHacking.net's page (link is below) to download this patch.
